Company principal Norman Ballard was named business leader of the year.
"Six years running we have won excellence in innovation," Mr Ballard said.
"This year we won three awards."
Hummingbird Electronics started out as a small, home-based business in 2008.
It now occupies two premises in Taylors Beach.
Mr Ballard said being innovative was a strong part of Hummingbird Electronics's ethos.
The business has been the recipients of five innovation honours, including the 2013 Hunter Manufacturing Award for excellence in innovation.
It is once again a finalist in the 2014 Hunter Manufacturing Awards, taking place on Friday, October 19.
