Traffic: No major incidents reported on Hunter roads.
Trains: Good service on the Newcastle and Hunter lines.
Beachwatch: It’s going to be a windy Wednesday if you’re heading beachside today as there is a gale warning in force. The wind will be north-west to west with the swell from the east around half to one metre. We will see a shift in the swell to the south late in the day and it will pick up quite quickly. Wave conditions will be small and clean but may be affected by the strong offshore wind. Around town try the Cowrie Hole, Bar Reef, The Cliff, Merewether and Dudley. Down south try Hams, Catho, and Frazer Park. At Port Stephens try Samurai and One Mile. Most beaches will be good for a morning swim but some rips will develop during the afternoon. The water temperature is 20 degrees.
