Oakvale launches Pay-Discover-Forward initiative to give kids in need a day out at the wildlife park

The Salt Ash wildlife park has partnered with three NSW children's charities as part of a Pay Discover Forward initiative that invites people with unused $25 discover vouchers to redeem them with Oakvale, which will then provide two entry tickets into the park for one of the charities.

"One random act of kindness can make a huge difference in someone's life," Elyss Larkham, Oakvale's business development manager, said.

"For the children and families who require these charities, the ability to have a moment where their illness or whatever is happening in their life is lessened for just a day so they can rediscover the pleasures of childhood is so important.

"Setting up this initiative provides these families a day out to interact with nature and wildlife and create memories with loved ones."

Oakvale has partnered with Kids with Cancer, Camp Quality and Run DIPG.

Anyone who redeems their discover vouchers through oakvalewildlife.com.au/visit/pay-discover-forward can select which charity to 'pay it forward' to.

The chosen charity will be provided with two entry tickets (valued at $66) on the redeemers behalf.

However, the redeemer will not go empty-handed. They will receive a $25 discount code to use toward admission into the park.

Pay Discover Forward has been formally approved by the NSW Government.

The Sydney-based Symbio Wildlife Park worked with Service NSW to implement the initiative, which Oakvale has now adopted.

Residents have until the end of June to use their Dine and Discover vouchers.
