The Raymond Terrace, Mallabula, Fingal Bay, Karuah and Williamtown rugby league football clubs plus the Medowie and Nelson Bay union clubs are participating in the campaign this year.
About $140,000 worthy of Tooheys' football gear would be given away through the campaign, including new team jerseys, bench seats, massage tables, score boards, corner and goal posts, balls and marquees.
Teams will only win this gear if they generate enough points by members in the community.
Twenty points were generated from adults who bought a carton of Tooheys New at participating stores. These points could be allocated to the buyer's favourite senior football club online.
When the club had enough points, they could redeem them for new footy gear.
