Terrace woman charged for Maryland assault

Port Stephens police charged the 29-year-old woman with aggravated break and enter plus assault occasioning actual bodily harm following the forced entry to a home in Maryland Drive, Maryland on June 19.
Police will allege the woman, accompanied by a man, attended the address and got into an argument with the occupant.
It is alleged that the woman forced her way into the home and assaulted the owner by punching him in the head a number of times.
Property was also stolen from the premises.
Port Stephens police stopped a vehicle in Raymond Terrace, with the accused woman inside, shortly after the alleged offences in Maryland.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Raymond Terrace police station.
She was charged with aggravated break and enter, commit a serious indictable offence (stealing and assault occasioning actual bodily harm) and goods in custody.
She was granted conditional bail in Raymond Terrace Local Court on June 22. She will re-appear in court at a later date.
Woman charged for 2015 break and enter
Police have charged a Raymond Terrace woman with a break and enter from 2015.
The 20-year-old Raymond Terrace woman was charged with break, enter and steal by Port Stephens police on June 21.
It is alleged the woman broke into a home on Beatty Boulevard, Tanilba Bay in June 2015.
Police said their investigations will rely on forensic evidence to link the woman to the break and enter.
“With the continuing advancements in forensic science, particularly DNA, it is not uncommon for results to be achieved weeks, months or even years following a crime,” Port Stephens crime manager, Detective Inspector Scott Parker, said.
The woman will appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on August 10.
Vehicle stop uncovers drugs, knife
A 52-year-old Raymond Terrace man will appear in court next month on charges of carrying a prohibited drug and weapon.
Police stopped the man who was driving along the Pacific Highway at Heatherbrae on June 21.
The man and his car was search.
Police will allege they found a quantity of methyl amphetamine (commonly known as ice) and a prohibited weapon, being a credit card knife, during the search.
The man was charged with possession of a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited weapon and custody of a knife in a public place.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on July 3.
