National Parks and Wildlife Service area manager Andrew Bond said the park will remain closed on Saturday.
“The fire which began on Tuesday afternoon has affected around 10 hectares, much in steep and rugged parts of this popular park, before it was contained by Rural Fire Service and National Parks and Wildlife Service crews,” Mr Bond said.
“We appreciate people are keen to be able to enjoy their park as soon as possible however, we do ask that they respect the temporary closure for their own safety.”
