On Saturday, March 2, Lions clubs in Port Stephens will be joining counterparts across Australia to help change the world.

The Lions clubs of Raymond Terrace, Medowie, Soldiers Point and Tilligerry will be holding a Lions Awareness Day at MarketPlace Raymond Terrace.

The day will be the finale of a week beginning on Monday, February 25.

A full range of information on Lions Clubs and membership will be available.

“The event will give fellow community members the opportunity to see who their local Lions members are and learn a little more about the magic of turning sausage sandwiches and raffle tickets into everything from school breakfast clubs to international disaster relief programs,” Lions zone chair Peter Francis said.

“The public can discuss Lions Internationally targeted 5 pillars of service: Vision, Hunger, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, and Environment.”
