One Sing Song is the brainchild of Mark Jackson, who runs Port Stephens ukulele group Tomaree Ukestra, and wife Jane Jelbert.
The concept is simple. Get as many people together in the one location as possible and in one hour learn and perform a song.
"We keep getting inundated with requests to do one at the Bay and because we are starting a new ukestra at the country club on Monday nights," Jackson said when asked why bring One Sing Song to Port Stephens.
For the last two and a half years, One Song Sing has taken place almost every month in Newcastle.
One Sing Song has grown in popularity, with one of last year's events attracting 750 people.
The song to be performed at Shoal Bay Country Club on Sunday, March 31 is Fleetwood Mac's Don't Stop.
The event will be held between 3.30pm and 5pm. The cost is $10.
From Monday, April 1 Jackson will begin beginner's ukulele classes at Shoal Bay Country Club.
Jackson has been leading the Tomaree Ukestra at Fingal Bay every Monday morning for the past 8 years.
Two-hour classes will be held in Shoal Bay on Monday's from 6.30pm. The cost is $27 per person.
