But her next visit, on July 7, will bring with it an all new learning opportunity.
Blair, a qualified RYA yachtmaster and Master V commercial skipper, will share her unique offshore skills in a one-day offshore masterclass to be held at d'Albora Marina.
Blair is best known for her record-breaking solo-circumnavigation of Antarctica and more recently, sailing solo non-stop around Australia.
During her adventures Blair has faced 15-metre waves and 80-knot winds alone in the Southern Ocean and because of her risk assessment and disaster management, she lived to tell the tale.
The offshore masterclass is a one-day course drawing on the skills Blair developed while sailing solo around Antarctica and Australia.
She will share her first-hand account of being demasted, building a jury rig, and transferring fuel from a container ship, as well as storm survival techniques such as use of drogues and heaving-to.
For more information about the masterclass, which costs $295 to take part in, visit lisablairsailstheworld.com/masterclass.
