Michael Aylmer
Retired businessman living in Nelson Bay 47 years
"I am undecided. Generally I am a Liberal voter but lately both major political parties have annoyed the hell out of me. I will do more research into the issues and policies closer to the election day but at this stage it might be an Independent."
Roslyn Welsh
Retired from Shoal Bay
"I have always been a Liberal voter and I will be voting for Brooke. I'm not happy with Albo ... where is he going to get the money [to fund his party's commitments] and there's a lack of forward planning. My main issues are roads and the environment, trees in particular."
Paeta Snell
Stay at home mum of four children from Corlette
"I will be voting Labor, I am not a fan at all of our current PM and I believe Albanese deserves a go. I am concerned about the the rising cost of living and the skyrocketing rental and housing costs under this government."
Juli King
Works in hospitality from Shoal Bay
"I am undecided at this stage. I admit that I am not very politically minded and I don't know the local candidates but I am prepared to do some research before voting. I am concerned that the cost of living continues to go up while wages stay the same."
Wayne Hill
Pensioner who has lived in Nelson Bay for 13 years
"I will be voting Labor. I believe the Labor Party helps the working people more. I have a mother with cancer that I care for so my main issues are health care, as well as the rental market, it's almost impossible to rent anything in the Bay."
