Port Stephens Council has begun planning for the next phase of the plan of management across a site important for recreational and cultural reasons.
The council’s Community Services section manager Steve Bernasconi said consultation would build on the consultation held in May and review of the draft master plan.
"This management plan will be used to shape the future of Birubi Point, so that the ongoing future use, development and maintenance of the place is compatible with its cultural significance," he said.
"We would love for residents to drop in on Saturday to ask questions.”
The drop-in session will be held from 10am until 2pm at Birubi Point SLSC.
