The fire started in a shed on Lakeside Drive some time before 7.50am.
The first NSW Fire and Rescue crew on scene reported seeing large plumes of smoke billowing from the property and immediately called for backup.
The ferocious blaze jumped from the shed to the adjoining home and crews were forced to take an offensive strategy to stop the fire spreading further.
Neighbours were evacuated from their homes and an exclusion zone was put in place. There were early concerns gas cylinders at the site could cause an explosion, but firies quickly setup cooling lines and got the situation under control.
There was serious damage to the garage, including a partial collapse of the roof. A car and caravan inside the shed were destroyed in the inferno. The home sustained only minor damage.
A NSW Fire and Rescue spokesman said as of 8.30am the fire was under control and no people had been reported inside the home at the time of the fire.
Paramedics remained on scene as a precaution until the fire was officially extinguished about 9am.
The cause of the fire is unknown pending investigation.
