The concept is a modified nippers program for individuals with special needs. It caters for children in the 6 year old age group.
The special needs spectrum includes autism, attention deficit disorder, Down syndrome and physical and intellectual disabilities.
The program is now integrated into the Fingal nippers program and runs in two five week blocks.
They have two weeks to run on their current program including beach games, beach running, beach flags, water familiarisation, and surf safety.
The Starfish group is run in parallel to existing nipper training starting at 9.30am Sunday morningss.
Fingal is keen to embrace everyone in the community and Starfish members receive one-on-one coaching by dedicated members.
Come on down and try. The second block starts February 3. Contact Mitch Fraser on 0423 643 306.
