Last year the club raised close to $19,000 for community projects and drought relief, which it hopes to do again when this year's event rolls around at Nelson Bay Golf Club on April 5.
The annual event, in its 28th year, has raised $300,000, which has been used by the Rotary club to fund projects in the Port Stephens community.
During the past 27 years funds have been used to support health support services, community infrastructure projects, the Nelson Bay Rotary exercise trail, PCYC stadium floor, water sport and support services.
Golf day chair Arja Levonpera said the Nelson Bay Rotary Club recognised the demands put on business to support a wide variety of community fund raising events, including their own, and thanked them for their contributions.
The club's two key sponsors Port Stephens Toyota and Holiday World Travel will once again provide generous prizes for hole in ones achieved on the day.
Port Stephens Toyota will be providing a Toyota Yaris for a hole in one on the 11th and Holiday World a $10,000 travel voucher for a hole in one on the 8th hole.
The format of the day is a four person ambrose with lunch and a meal included in the player fee, which is $75 per person. There are great prizes for the winning and placed teams.
Nelson Bay Rotary Club president Kathy Rimmer highlighted the importance of strong sponsor support and a full field of players to make the day a success.
