FINGAL Beach's Grace Hewitt led the way for the Hunter youth surf life saving team at the Gold Coast last weekend, winning gold in the under 15's female beach sprint.

She was joined on the podium by Swansea Belmont SLSC's Beau McGregor, Kurt Murphy and Eli Worell who took gold in the under 15's board relay.
Cooks Hill SLSC's Charlie Walker came second in the under 14's male surf race. Walker also spearheaded the Cooks Hill under 15's male cameron relay team, with Flynn Hamilton, Noah Jackson and Dylan Danuser, taking bronze in the feature event.
Swansea Belmont's team of Blake Cook, Beau McGregor, Kurt Murphy and Eli Worell came sixth.
The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships is an annual event where members from Australia's 314 surf clubs compete in more than 400 beach and ocean events. It is the largest event of its kind.
Masters and Open Championships are being held from April 1 to 7 at Broadbeach SLSC.
