Kris Paton's ladies blue tag team posted a solid 20-14 win while Andrew Chapman's under-19 team completed the double with a 22-12 victory over the Bulldogs.
The men's team continue to impress with the well drilled Sharks running in four tries with Corey Sheals, Bailey Steed, Jackson McIntyre and Jarrod Dixon crossing for four pointers. Angus Crockett kicked two goals.
The ladies team try scorers were Emma Cram, Michelle Sproule, Reagan McIllwaine and Peta Stevens. Eden Osborn kicked two goals. Players' players went to hard working Joleene Cheviot.
The Sharks face the tough road trip next Sunday to play Wyong.
RAYMOND Terrace Rugby League Club got their season back on track at the weekend with a narrow 38-30 win over the Stroud Raiders.
It was a tight contest with the Magpies holding a slender 20-16 lead at half time. Coach Brooke Roach was happy with the second half's 80 per cent completion rate and the strong performance by the Terrace young guns.
Five eight Will Turpin had a strong game, clever halfback Luke Handsaker was a worthy players' player scoring two tries while in the forward pack, hooker Jack Beverly and tough back rower Dane Walker both worked hard in attack and defence.
The ladies teams were down on numbers for both games. The Ravens tag team ran into a red hot Aberglasslyn outfit and went down 0-58 while the newly formed tackle team are a work in progress, going down 50-6 against Waratah. Best for the Magpies women were Tasmin Fellows and Marithia Thompson.
FINGAL Bay Rugby League Club posted two strong wins at Fingal Oval at the weekend, with plenty of local support on hand to watch both games.
The ladies tag team started the ball rolling with a comprehensive 38-0 win over Dungog. Once again the Fingal girls' rock solid defence was a feature and in the past two games have kept the opposition to nil.
Fingal were always in control leading 16-0 at half time. The Parfitt girls led the way with two tries to Grace and Marnie kicking five goals. Georgia Relf was awesome in defence while Brie Napoli was the players' player.
The Bomboras men were too strong for Tall Timbers, running out 36-4 victors. It was still tight at the break with the home side leading 10-4. Coaches Dean Carney and John Gutherson had Tyler Perrin and Rob Bryant execute an effective kicking plan of turning around the Timbers' outfit with long range kicks.
This combined with a solid defensive effort proved a deciding factor. Centre Jake Redman had a fine game while the back rowers Ben Schnieder, Tom Sellick and Isaac Kniupp worked hard across the park.
MALLABULA Rugby League Club paid the price for poor reads in defence in Saturday's game against Waratah. After being in the contest at half time with the scores locked at 10-all, the Panthers leaked points after the break and went down 30-16.
Captain Leigh Kelly led from the front gaining the tough yards in attack and working hard in defence. Lock Bo Earl had his usual busy game while half back Josh Daniels and full back Koby Martin tried hard to ignite the attack.
The Mallabula ladies tag team fell to last year's premiers Stroud 26-6. The well drilled Raiders outfit were too strong. However, Sinead Trevor, players' player Penny Prior and Bree Keysell had strong games for the Panthers.
