The Bay Bootscooters will host line dancing clubs from across the state in the Bay across the long weekend. A line dance social with DJ Chris Jones will be held in the Wests auditorium from 7pm to 10pm on Friday, June 10. The cost to attend, paid at the door is $10. The theme of the night is country, and participants are encouraged to dress up in theme. There will be a line dance social hosted by the Bay and Coastal Bootscooters at Wests from 11am-4pm on Saturday, June 11. Chris Jones and Bev Sandiford will DJ. The cost to attend is $10. The theme is white. On Sunday, June 12 there will be a line dance social and workshop with Josh Talbot at Wests from 11am-4pm. The cost to attend is $15 and the theme is denim and lace.
Launch of The Tequila Lounge
June 10: The Tequila Lounge, Broughtons at the Bay, d'Albora Marina, Nelson Bay. Time: 7pm.
Tapas, tequila, and tunes. That's the foundation of the newest food, drink and entertainment venue in Nelson Bay called The Tequila Lounge. Following on from the success of its sister venue Lime Mexican, The Tequila Lounge is a space to enjoy the tapas delights of Mexico, colourful tequila-based cocktails and talented musicians belting out the latest and old favourite tunes. Chalk the Walk

Chalk the Walk will see vibrant temporary art pop up across the Port this winter. A Port Stephens Council event, visit the Chalk the Walk sites to watch the artists work and interact with 3D chalk art works. Medowie Markets
June 11: Bull N Bush Hotel, Ferodale Road, Medowie. Time: 8am-12.30pm.
The Medowie Lions Community Markets are held on the grassed area out front of the Bull n Bush the second Saturday of the month.
Fingal Twilight Market
June 11: Fingal Bay foreshore (next to surf club). Time: 12pm-4pm.
Family friendly market by the beautiful Fingal Bay foreshore. The market features more than 80 stalls with a variety of products, many from local producers, live music, food and drinks.
Tomaree Markets
June 12: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 8am-2pm.
Held the second and fourth Sunday of the month. An outdoor market with a variety of stalls.
Growers Market at Murray's
June 12: Murray's Brewery, Bobs Farm. Time: 8am-12pm.
Meet the makers in person and hear first hand about how and where their produce is grown and fill your market baskets with fresh in season produce.
Longest Line in Nelson Bay
June 13: d'Albora Marina, Nelson Bay. Time: 11am. Cost: Free.
Line dancers will wrap up their line dancing long weekend with the longest line at d'Albora Marina on Monday, June 13 from 11am, weather permitting. This event will see most, if not all, of the line dancers gather at the marina in Nelson Bay to perform a line dance together. The public is encouraged to join in.
Introduction to drone flying in Nelson Bay
June 14: Soldiers Point Bowling Club. Time: 7pm. Cost: Free.

Young parents group

No scaredy cats

CWA Winter Fete
June 18: CWA Hall, Gowrie Avenue, Nelson Bay. Time: 8.30am-11.30am.
CWA Nelson Bay and Salamander Bay Men's Shed will host a June winter fete. Rain or shine there will be sit down Devonshire tea, handicraft, scones and slices, preserves, plants, books and wooden items. There will be hampers and raffles. All are welcome to attend.
Author talk Raymond Terrace

Award-winning Port Stephens aviator Ruth Wilson will a talk and signing of her memoir at Raymond Terrace Terrace Library. Ms Wilson's memoir Conquering Clouds details her life, stories and accomplishments during her 47-year career in ballooning. Complementary morning tea will be served at 10.15am.
