Two Port Stephens women have penned their deep and inner thoughts in a new book featuring the inspiring stories of a host of local and international women.
Titled Aligned Leaders: Sage Wisdom from Women Choosing Their Soul's Mission Over Societal Expectation With No Regret, the book features the authentic stories of 22 fearless and inspiring women, including Boat Harbour's Fiona Brown.
It is Ms Brown's second co-authored publication. Two years ago she co-authored Change Makers, which became an Amazon best-seller.
Another one of the authors is mother-of-four Monique Malone, from Raymond Terrace.
Ms Brown is one of the Port's leading life coaches and mentors and is in her second term as president of Port Stephens Women In Business. She runs her own business called YOUtopia Wellbeing.
"Following the success of Change Makers, I was excited to be given another opportunity to co-author a second book," Ms Brown said.
"The book is aimed at anyone who enjoys reading stories of leadership and are looking for the inspiration to get things done. I get a lot of satisfaction writing about the tools and strategies needed to be successful."
Ms Malone, who has lived in Raymond Terrace most of her life and attended St Brigid's Catholic School, specialises in samsara mindfulness, energy healing and meditation. She is the director of Samsara Healing Australia.
"I am passionate about helping and guiding people to connect to their true self, and to help people work through the stresses of daily life," she said.
With a background beginning in banking and finance, becoming a wife and mother of four children, starting a property development business with her husband, Ms Malone found life was very full
"I began the journey of creating Samsara Healing through my own personal self-development and awareness, one that will continue to be lifelong," she said.
"I found writing about my life an amazing experience and I hope that by sharing some of my ideas can help others."
The book notes says that 'every experience is a gift to inspire another'.
"Everyone is here to serve a purpose, to grow and learn from the uncertainties and experiences of life, to shed the layers of social expectation and then to step forward with ease and grace. May these stories serve as encouragement for those that are on the same journey, aligning with their soul's mission and leading the way in their community."
The book will be available from October 8 by contacting the authors through their websites.
